Your trip plan
To print or share, add: where you're going, your back-by time, the call-for-help time and a number to call.
Your plan appears here as you fill it in.
Henricks Outdoors doesn't watch your trip or send alerts. The person you leave word with is the one who calls for help.
Conditions change fast. Turn back if it doesn't feel right.
How this works
- Your draft stays on this device. It saves as you type, only in this browser, until you tap Clear this plan.
- A shared link carries the plan inside it. The plan sits after the # in the link. Browsers never send that part to a server, so it never reaches ours.
- The printout puts the call-for-help time first. Its QR code opens this page, not your plan.
- Henricks Outdoors doesn't watch your trip or send alerts. The person you leave word with is the one who calls for help.

About this tool
Before you head out, leave word with someone at home. This page helps you write a simple trip plan: where you’re going and the route you’ll take, who’s with you, what you’re driving and where you’ll park, when you expect to be back, and the time someone should call for help if they haven’t heard from you. Add the numbers they should call and a few notes about your gear, like the colors of your tent and jacket.
When it’s ready, print it for the fridge or send it as a link to one person you trust. The link carries the plan inside it, so the plan isn’t stored on our servers, and your draft stays on your own phone or computer until you clear it.
Use it for day hikes, hunting trips, paddles, and backcountry weekends. It works with large text and on a small screen, and the printout fits on one page.
Henricks Outdoors doesn’t track your trip or send alerts. A trip plan works because a real person knows where you went and when to make the call.
