About TrailBite
TrailBite is a free trail meal planner from Henricks Outdoors. Tell it how many days you'll be out, how many people are eating, and how hard the trip is. It fills breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trail snacks from 78 trail recipes, then shows what you'll carry: calories per day, dry food weight, calories per ounce, and the water you'll need for cooking.
Swap any meal, filter for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or no-cook food, and turn on “your body” to size calories to your weight and age. When the plan looks right, TrailBite builds one shopping list, merged across every day and sorted by aisle. Print it, share the plan with your group, or check items off at the store, even with no signal.

How this works
Recipe calories and protein are TrailBite's own numbers. Fat, carbs and sodium are estimated from each ingredient, checked against USDA FoodData Central. Calorie targets start from the trip type and can follow your body with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation. The numbers, explained
